Stability and Optimal Control of a Delayed HIV Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
We propose and investigate a delayed model that studies the relationship between HIV and the immune system during the natural course of infection and in the context of antiviral treatment regimes. Sufficient criteria for local asymptotic stability of the infected and viral free equilibria are given. An optimal control problem with time delays both in state variables (incubation delay) and control (pharmacological delay) is then formulated and analyzed, where the objective consists to find the optimal treatment strategy that maximizes the number of uninfected CD4 T cells as well as CTL immune response cells, keeping the drug therapy as low as possible.

Sub-optimal Estimation of HIV Time-delay Model using State-Dependent Impulsive Observer with Time-varying Impulse Interval: Application to Continuous-time and Impulsive Inputs
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) weakens the immune system in confronting various diseases by attacking to CD4+T cells. In modeling HIV behavior, the number of CD4+T cells is considered as the output. But, continuous-time measurement of these cells is not possible in practice, and the measurement is only available at variable intervals that are several times bigger than sampling time. In this...
متن کاملThe Control Parametrization Enhancing Technique for Multi-Objective Optimal Control of HIV Dynamic
In this paper, a computational approach is adopted for solving a multi-objective optimal control problem (MOOCP) formulation of optimal drug scheduling in human immunodeficiency (HIV) virus infected by individuals. The MOOCP, which uses a mathematical model of HIV infection, has some incompatible objectives. The objectives are maximizing the survival time of patients, the level of D...
متن کاملAnalysis and optimal control of an intracellular delayed HIV model with CTL immune response
A delayed model describing the dynamics of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) with CTL (Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes) immune response is investigated. The model includes four nonlinear differential equations describing the evolution of uninfected, infected, free HIV viruses, and CTL immune response cells. It includes also intracellular delay and two treatments (two controls). While the aim of first ...
متن کاملStability Analysis and Optimal Control of Vaccination and Treatment of a SIR Epidemiological Deterministic Model with Relapse
In this paper, we studied and formulated the relapsed SIR model of a constant size population with standard incidence rate. Also, the optimal control problem with treatment and vaccination as controls, subject to the model is formulated. The analysis carried out on the model, clearly showed that the infection free steady state is globally asymptotically stable if the bas...
متن کاملMathematical Model for Transmission Dynamics of Hepatitus C Virus with Optimal Control Strategies
An epidemic model with optimal control strategies was investigated for Hepatitus C Viral disease that can be transmitted through infected individuals. In this study, we used a deterministic compartmental model for assessing the effect of different optimal control strategies for controlling the spread of Hepatitus C disease in the community. Stability theory of differential equations is us...
